Welcome!
I'm a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Philosophy at Western Michigan University. My interests largely center around the history and philosophy of science and philosophy of physics. Specific topics I am curious about are 17th and 18th century natural philosophy (esp. Newton), the nature of scientific explanation/realism in physical unobservables (e.g. dark matter/energy, the quantum state, etc.), and the history of spacetime theories. I'm also interested in public engagement in science, teaching pedagogy, and feminist philosophy of science.
In my free time, I like to hike around Michigan (especially in the winter), stargaze, and read outside my academic interests, such as on art and architecture history. I also have a small yet slowly growing antique telescope collection. To those who may be interested in WMU's graduate program, feel free to email me (see below) with questions!
